so.. around a month ago we welcomed over 100 people to skipton youth centre for our rewind gig. we created two rooms with a main stage and an acoustic stage. jack brennan opened the evening to a full crowd on the acoustic stage, followed by everyone an army on the main stage. then came the rewind slot.. everyone was very nervous but despite some slight technical hitches with the lighting everyone did amazingly! we were so proud of everyone that performed and how far they have come since we started songwriting. then came rosie! the crowd went mental and everyone had a lot of fun. as everyone cooled off from the manic dancing to rosie, they were accompanied by the beautiful voice of sam collier who performed on the acoustic stage. finally were our headline act hope and social who were joined by the whole crowd doing the maccarena! the night was a huge success with over 100 people through the door and brilliant sales from drinks and merch. a massive thanks to claire , rich, leanne and everyone who enabled us to put on the gig (and a belated happy birthday to claire!). we all felt so proud as we looked around the room to see so many people dancing and smiling, knowing what we had created! with a request from 4youth for us to put on a christmas gig on 16th we can’t wait to do it all over again. onwards and upwards!
I heard it went well!! I was going to come and help out with CYC but ended up working away that weekend. The CYC tech team we’re very complimentry about the whole evening!!! Keep up the good work!!!
